I just received an email from Jay Bertolet announcing that one of his euphonium students, Anna Benigni, is giving her junior recital at 7PM today, April 20, 2021, on FIU's campus. It's also being...
Dr Pendergast is good! I had the pleasure of meeting him and hearing him perform at SRTEC competition in Sarasota, FL many years ago. I think he was still at FSU then.
Hope you get it resolved...
Hi Sam. I’ve had my M5050 now for about 10 years. I myself have not experienced anything like you mention in the 4th valve circuit. The 4th valve bore is .638 - which is smaller than my Yamaha 641...
Good find! That's 58Mark that sometimes posts here. Glad you found it. He used to be a moderator for the TubeNet before it underwent major surgery.
I've used the 'bump a valve' approach to slurring at times. I thought I was cheating. Good to hear some pros sometimes do the same.
Nice video Dave!
Wow, that looks like a great buy!
This might be one of Dave’s posts you were looking for on how to care for a brand new horn.

Interesting ringtones shared. Thanks.
I think if I had the Yodeler ringtone on my phone and selected (tongue in cheek) I might keep it on vibrate.
I'm wondering how many of my fellow euphers have a special ringtone on your cell phone with a euphonium theme? I've had one for the past few years assigned to any contacts in the band I play in....
Just gorgeous Micah! Thanks for sharing.
Happy to report that Moisture Guard sent out two replacement bell covers to me – free if charge. They arrived about three days ago but my horn was in the shop for cleaning so couldn't check it out...
Neat picture. Looks like some over-the-shoulder saxhorns.
Wow, another alumnus of the Keesler Blue Knights!? Who would have thought that as it's pretty rare I believe. If you were there in '70 I suspect you also had to play the 'G' bugles. Not the...
Welcome to the forum Evan! I too came back to playing after a long hiatus — 33 years to be exact. Small world as I too played in the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps at Keesler AFB. That was in...
Got an email reply this morning from Moisture Guard and they're sending out replacements.
"Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
It seems we have unfortunately been sent a bad batch from...
Hmm? Thanks for that Doug. I've emailed the U.S. Supplier and see what they say.
I also ordered the MoistureGuard (2ea) a day earlier. Beware, they're not large enough to fit 12" bell. They would fit a bass trombone or maybe 10" - 11" baritone. I know my bell is 12.2", but from...
Today I ordered the Wick bell cover from DF Music. Price is $8 and it came up $10 standard shipping. But they emailed me later to say they’re lowering the shipping to $5 since it’s so light. Nice...
Sorry Mike, no idea. Haven't chatted with Jay Bertolet in quite some time.
Well I’ll be! Never noticed that before.
As everyone has said above, you sound great on both mpcs. The 'blue' model to my ear sounded like it had just a bit better response - or crisper like Doug mentioned. I listened last night on my...
I spent a couple of hours listening to this great collection of recordings while reading the liner notes. Just great! Two of my heroes in music are John Williams and the "President's Own" Marine...
Probably a good decision Jim. Someone said, "you can never have too many horns".
Wow, that’s a great resource! Thanks.

I just got a postcard today too.
Mr. Brasch sounds great, but I’m with Dave on the piccolo part. Hurts my ears in parts.
