Done.

Working on getting that.

Dana, (I think) a bandmate of mine built a 'tree' out of finished lumber to put in his front room, hanging all his tubas, Sousas, and euphs on.
Kind of a work of art...

When I bought my '66 NS Besson back in high school, it was the envy of the other section players, even tho we all used school-provided 3V comp Bessons. It had just the sound I was used to...
Supposedly it dampens the miniscule vibrations present in some compensating euphs 4th valve.
This in turn 'supposedly' redirects that energy back into the airstream, rather using it to vibrate...
I don't think a Bonna case qualifies as a 'Gig Bag'. It is very protective, resistant to much abuse, and has several carrying options.
My old New Standard fits perfectly and has no damage done to...
Ah, yes, save that jewel!
My Besson New Standard was a SA 'discard', and you can imagine just how bad it was before restoration. Lots of dents, holes, and apparently someone had sat on it. More...
It wasn't stressed in High School. Somehow I made 1st chair in All-State two years in a row.
In college, chasing a degree, it became important.
The fact that I was the only euph in the program...
Now that is a prize!

That is probably a great playing compensator design, but the wrap is just but-ugly.

To be playing anything at 88 is the sign of a lucky life!

The 3 people that I know heard it said it was sweet & 'ethereal'.
I'll take that all day long!

I used my York Bb tenor, atop our 2nd floor turret at home.
Nice natural echo off the granite hill.
Dennis
Done bid on that. One never knows what might be useful in the future!
DG
A gorgeous survivor!
Dennis
I have used a Bonna case for years now, never had a problem.
One well made tough case.
DG
Yes.
DG
A great performance by all.
What euph is the other player using, Rick?
Dennis
Composers like confuse players, less so it is the transcribers.
Dennis
I never liked the thumb trigger found on most euphs.
I and Dan Oberloh designed this alternative on my Besson.
It operates via my 4&5 left fingers
These shots were taken before final finish...
Thanks for the link, Rick. Most enjoyable!
D
Thanks so much for all your time and effort to produce this!
I still get happy tears every time I hear/play that tune.
Dennis
Who knew about these guys?
