Thanks for sharing this. Very neat!
They are nice horns and play with a bigger sound than most would think. Really like the Olds horns. Best wishes.
Nice! Would make a great Christmas gift.
The YEP 321 is a preferred horn for top jazz players as well.
Depends upon playing needs and budget. Some great horns listed in this thread!
Non-Comp - Yamaha YEP321
Comp - Budget conscious: Mack or Wessex Dolce
Non-budget conscious: Yamaha NEO
very concerning.
I haven't yet. Not until I can do a play test. Wanting to try both the Wessex Sinfonico and also a Yamaha NEO.
I hadn't got around to posting a review on the horn. I've played tuba for over 40 years and left the Army in the 90s. I have about 15 years of professional playing experience and am very much an...
I'll admit I was not familiar with Owen but after this post watched a couple of his videos. Wow! Incredible. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Dave. Great stuff!
My 274S arrived tonight. I will say that I purchased from Joe Sellmansberger at Midsouth Music. I ordered it on Saturday and was told that they were out but expecting a new order this week and I...
The International series of tubas are on the Besson website. I did not check the Euphonium links. I have a friend that has owned an Eb Tuba and he speaks favorably of it. It is not of the same...
Welcome to the forum Bill!
The same here about the tenor horn. What a beautiful sound it gets!
I'm interested. I'll send you a Facebook message Doug. Thanks.
Thank you! Very much like the tune but also the explanation on voicings of the instruments. I'm an experienced player but no brass band experience to speak of. I have several CDs but would like to...
Hey, thanks for sharing the link. Great stuff!
Thanks! I didn't know that the BBb Tuba parts were in treble as well. Interesting! Yet another reason to practice treble clef. I wish we had brass bands here in the community. I know the NABBA...
I see the bore size listed around .460 or so on some of the instruments. Curious if baritone players cross over to Tenor horn. The mouthpiece looks significantly smaller so maybe Flugel players...
I purchased a 274S yesterday. Should have it soon. I appreciate all the comments about this horn. There were several videos on YouTube that allowed me to hear the horn. Given the current COVID...
Hope I'm placing this in the right place. What are the differences in a tenor horn vs a baritone horn? Would like to know the main differences. I know that it is a smaller bore instrument. ...
Beautiful piece! Thanks for sharing Rick.
Thanks for sharing this.
As mentioned I wasn't referring to Wessex specifically. I like the personal touch of your responses to inquiries and the commitment to quality improvement. Thanks for the reply and additional...
Thanks Dave. I'll look for that again.
