with body plating in that condition it is unlikely the valves have any plating at all on them.

Nice King euph. Some lacquer loss, but mostly good. Valves work great - strong compression, good plating, quick action.

Grandaddy of modern compensating euphoniums - first, and some say last, word of the genre. Many have moved on to newer instruments only to pine for its dulcet tones.

For tuba players who double euph, the Yamaha YEP-321 is pretty much the last word in euphoniums. Characteristic tone out the box, effortless playing, consistent and cheap. So for euph players that...

Got a 51D on Ebay. Maybe older, but great plating ect. My opinion is this is deeper than I want in a euph mouthpiece (even for a tubist). Bid to win!

@highpitch Perfectly fair to plug your listing here - just return the favor and redirect anybody looking for something cheaper to this!
cool French instrument. This is the predecessor of saxhorns Courtois still makes, but with 3 valves.
If you don't know this instrument, you're in for a treat:...
Cool Eb tenor horn for sale! Bid on the listing or message me. It's very similar in build to a british tenor horn.

Yes, I'm saying it takes a lot to light up so there's some safety to move in that direction. It is very progressive and limited in how the brightness turns up so I don't think I'll have trouble...
Bought it when it went to low open auction. Contrary to this forum verdict, but the modern baritones don't impress me much so I thought I'd try this. Don't need no euphonium-lite. Came FAST and...
If your someone who resells, name brand stuff helps a lot down the road. There's good stuff at the margins, but there's so much tried-and-true stuff I never find myself tempted.
If you truly need...
I bought that one! I was going to take the 4th valve tubing to put on a YEP-321 with missing 4th valve tubing, but it occurred to me Yamaha is good with parts and I might be able to just get them.

Marching and concert euphs are completely different instruments. Don't even think about practicing for one on the other. A simple way to think of it is marching baritone properly played outdoors,...
PM if 3 valves are acceptable. Obvious advantage of less weight and no extreme reach to the goofy lefthand valve. Nice open wrap instead of a rats' nest inside.
Extremely practical advantage of...
It's pretty well agreed that ubiquitous American baritones with front-action, tall bell ect. are Euphonium Lite, not a true baritone as in British convention. Although you can still call them...
PM for interest in Courtois AC162 - 3 valve version of Courtois saxhorn. I'd sell for a couple hundred, no need to spend thousands on a compensating system you'll never use. The leadpipe is the...
Marching baritone is its own thing and not really like a euph. Marching euph brings it more toward a traditional euph sound to varying degrees of success, but is a major *pain* to hold up and...
Ubiquitous American-style baritones (front pistons, very tall at 31", usually curved or straight bell, extremely cheap, nearly identical between Conn/King/Olds/Reynolds) are the perfect instrument...
