The Brass Musician
by Arthur Lehman
compiled by David Werden

This book is a collection of monographs by legendary euphoniumist Arthur Lehman. Arthur uses his many years of experience as euphonium soloist with The United States Marine Band to offer advice on issues ranging from a player's attitudes to various technical issues. Most of the topics are valuable to any brass player, but Arthur also offers specific advice on playing the popular euphonium solo "Believe Me If All Those Endearing Young Charms." Price is $24.50.

Most of the subjects were compiled by David Werden from a series of letters that Arthur wrote to his long-time friend Bob Hoe, who was in the hospital at the time. Mr. Hoe was perhaps best known for sponsoring and publishing the recording series "The Heritage of the March."
